KIC has participated in many academic and sports competitions. The following are among the major achievements:
Academic Achievements:
Young Scientists Presidential Competition
Year: 2017
One of KIC SS3 students, Gafar Kasali, came 10th in the Nation in the 2017 Young Scientists Presidential Competition held in Abuja.
Best SSCE Result From Oyo State
Year: 2012
Two KIC students received an award for best SSCE results from Oyo State in 2012
Winner of Dicken’s Salome National Essay Competition
Year: 2013
KIC student, Adewole Enife, won the 2013 Dicken’s Salome National Essay Competition held at Abuja.
1st Position, Quiz and Debate Competition, FRSC
Year: 2010
KIC came first in the Quiz and Debate Competition held at FRSC Zonal Headquarters in 2010.
1st & 2nd Position, Junior Engineers Technicians and Scientists (JETS) competition.
Year: 2011, 2013
KIC came first in 2011 and second in the 2013 Junior Engineers Technicians and Scientists (JETS) competition.
1st Position, Petroleum Technological Development Fund (PTDF) Competition
Year: 2016
For the 2016 Petroleum Technological Development Fund (PTDF) Competition: King’s International College took 1st Place in all three categories.
1st Position, Oyo State competition of Mathematical Association of Nigeria (MAN)
Year: 2010
KIC came first in Oyo State at 2010 competition of Mathematical Association of Nigeria (MAN).
2nd & 3rd Position, Cowbell Mathematics Competition for Oyo State.
Year: 2010 & 2018
KIC student came second in senior category of 2013 Cowbell Mathematics Competition for Oyo State. In 2018, one KIC student came 3rd in the competition in the Junior Category at State Level.
1st Position, Spelling Bee Competition and English Language Debate
Year: 2015
KIC came first in 2015 Spelling Bee Competition and English Language Debate in Pade School of Science.
1st Position, Centre for French Teaching and Documentation's Francophone Competition
Year: 2017
KIC was awarded first place in Quiz Competition of 2017 Francophone Competition JSS level at Centre for French Teaching and Documentation, Ibadan.
Mathematics Olympiad competition
Year: 2018 & 2019
Two students came 1st and 2nd at the local level in the 2018 Mathematics Olympiad competition organized by Mathematics Association of Nigeria. In 2019, KIC attained first position in the senior category and second in the junior category at the local level. At the zonal level, KIC came second.

1st & 3rd Position, Inter-Secondary Schools Science Students' Competition
Year: 2019
At the 2019 Inter-Secondary Schools Science Students' Competition held at Bethel American Christian Academy, KIC came first in the quiz and 3rd in debate.
3rd & 1st Position, NTA Ibadan Speech Competition 2018 Children Summit.
Year: 2018 & 2019
One of the KIC students came 3rd in NTA Ibadan Speech Competition 2018 Children Summit. In 2019, KIC came first at the NTA Children's Summit.
Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)
Year: 2019
Of the 48 KIC students that took the 2019 UTME, two students scored over 300 while six students scored between 280 and 289. Half of the candidates obtained over 250!
Results in Sports Competitions:
Milo Secondary School Basket Ball Competition
Year: 2017, 2018 & 2019
KIC boys basketball team, King's Knights were the Oyo State Champions in the Milo-sponsored competition for secondary schools, for three consecutive years (2017, 2018 and 2019.) The girls basketball team came third in the State in 2019. The King's Knights went on to represent Oyo State at the regional level in 2019 and won the Western Conference Championship. One of the KIC players was also named MVP of the Conference. KIC proceeded to the national level and came out third overall.

KIC boys football team has played several friendly matches and won all decisively.
Splash FM Oyo State Marathon/Integrity Race
Year: 2019
KIC came first in the Splash FM Oyo State Marathon/Integrity Race for three consecutive years: 2012, 2013 and 2014. The athletic team has participated in the invitational relay of several secondary schools inter-house sports competitions and both boys and girls have come first in most events.

Outstanding Secondary School Award
Year: 2016 & 2018
KIC was awarded the Outstanding Secondary School for Oyo State by Excellent Media Journalists Networking Initiative for 2016 and 2018.
West African Examination Council Recomendation
Year: 2018
In 2018, King’s International College received commendation from the West African Examination Council as a school known for not allowing any examination malpractices and thereby designated as an examination centre for West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private candidates.
