King’s International College (“KIC”)

King’s International College (“KIC”) is a government-approved, co-educational institution. It is a private institution that accommodates both day and boarding students. KIC is situated on 35 acres of land, 15 kilometres from Ibadan, Oyo State. The environment is peaceful and very conducive for effective learning with extensive grounds which are properly landscaped with well laid out gardens. KIC affirms that academic success is linked to the excellence of our residential life, and we commit ourselves to pursuing that excellence in order to enhance the learning environment at the Institution. We believe that there is no schoolroom where knowledge alone is pursued, no area of residential life where goodness forms the only curriculum.

KIC strives to create an environment that cherishes both the individual and provides a strong sense of community. Students are able to learn to make personal decisions regarding time to care for their own physical and emotional well-being and to balance work and leisure. Management has kept the standard of education in the school high by ensuring that all teachers possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in their teaching subject. It has also maintained a maximum teacher- student ratio of 1:9.

The school encourages sports activities and the various teams have been competing with other schools in some sporting events such as football, volleyball and basketball. The school has a soccer field with plans to construct a sports complex. To foster team spirit and healthy competition amongst the students, the school celebrates an annual inter-house sports competition.

To ensure regular and clean water supply, the school has provided three functioning boreholes with water treatment facilities and an adequate water storage capacity. Laundry services are provided in the school and a sick bay with qualified nurses on duty is available on the campus. The school has also installed two large standby generator which act as an alternative supply of power to the school. The School compound is completely fenced and adequate lighting is provided for the premises. Security services are provided with experienced security guards on duty 24 hours a day. Apart from the academic excellence of its students, KIC is also known for its high moral standard and emphasis upon character building. Students are taught in a disciplined environment, instilling in them the attributes of honesty, good behaviour, hard work, respect for authority and consideration for others.
